Injury RTC

Around 4:10pm on Monday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Woodlands Road in Pembroke, near the junction with Euclid Avenue. It appears that a pedestrian was running across Woodlands Road when she was in collision with a truck traveling north. The pedestrian, an 8 year old Paget girl, was treated at KEMH for minor injuries (cuts & bruises) and released.
Theft
At 1pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported theft from Hamilton Harbour. The complainant stated that he discovered his 10’ white inflatable boat with a Mercury outboard engine named ‘Mini Asteroid’ was removed from its mooring at the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club sometime earlier. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Activity
From 9pm Monday – 6am today, there were 2 people arrested for suspicion of impaired driving and 6 incidents of breaking and entering. There were also 15 damage only road traffic collisions and 18 road traffic collisions resulting in injury.
The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their co-operation over the Bermuda Day holiday, which led to a mostly quiet Bermuda Day. We are continuing to urge the motoring public to use care, caution & courtesy on the island’s roads as there was a rise in the number of road traffic collisions over the holiday period.
Police have also noticed a significant decrease in the incidents of breaking and entering around the island, and we would continue to encourage residents to keep their homes secure by locking all doors and windows and to be vigilant for suspicious persons/activity in their area. In addition, we have received several reports of loud music and would like to remind the public to be considerate of others when playing music inside or outside, especially at night.
