Medical Emergency

At 10 this morning, Police attended a reported medical emergency at the Bermuda International Airport. It appears that a male passenger on board American Airlines flight #1019 from Boston, Massachusetts (USA) to San Juan, Puerto Rico experienced heart problems while en route. The plane was subsequently diverted to Bermuda. The male passenger accompanied by his wife was taken to KEMH via ambulance for further examination. American Airlines flight #1019 departed Bermuda at 11am.

Injury RTC

Around 12:50 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Harbour Road in Warwick. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling west on Harbour Road when the rider lost control after negotiating a sharp bend near Salt Kettle Road. The motorcycle was extensively damaged as a result. Both the rider, a 26 year old Smith’s parish man and the passenger, a 24 year old Devonshire woman were taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of their injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening. The Bermuda Fire Service also attended the scene.
