Sudden Death

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 13 month old Christopher Jack Silvester Jr.
At 8:35pm on Wednesday, Police attended a report of a child found in a pool at an Ocean Avenue, Devonshire residence. It appears that baby Silvester was found in the pool in an unresponsive state by a family member, who pulled the child from the water and brought him inside the home. A neighbour (who is a firefighter) was alerted by screams for help and ran to the victim’s residence, performing CPR on the infant until the paramedics arrived. The child was then rushed to KEMH via ambulance were he was pronounced dead at 9:20pm by an on call physician.
The Bermuda Police Service extends its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased.
Breaking & Entering
At 6pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Bleak Farm Close, Devonshire residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 3:45pm and 4:45pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole $120 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
