Assault

Around 10:45pm on Saturday, Police received a report of an assault on Fentons Drive in Pembroke. The victim, a 34 year old man employed at Four Star Pizza, stated that he left Four Star Pizza in Flatts to make a delivery at a Fentons Drive residence. As he parked his motorcycle and walked to the residence, he was approached by 4 or 5 young men. The young men proceeded to assault the victim, kicking him in the back and punching him in the head. The young men then started to check the victim’s pockets but he shouted for help, and the assailants made good their escape. The 34 year old suffered bruising to his upper lip as a result of the assault. The suspects are described as young black males wearing white t-shirts with long sleeves. They are all believed to be between 16 & 19 years old. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Injury RTC

At 3:15am on Saturday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Glebe Road and Bishop Spencer Road in Pembroke involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling north on Glebe Road when the car exited Bishop Spencer Road, collided with the motorcycle and continued traveling along Glebe Road. The rider of the motorcycle, a 49 year old Pembroke man, suffered a serious leg injury and was taken to KEMH for treatment; however, his injury is not believed to be life threatening. The driver of the car, a 28 year old Warwick woman, was not injured and subsequently arrested for suspicion of impaired driving.
