Disturbance

Around 11:30am on Thursday, Police attended a reported disturbance outside the Market Place on Church Street in the City of Hamilton. It appears that two men got out of a vehicle in front of the supermarket and approached two men sitting in another vehicle. The suspects then assaulted the victims in the vehicle with baseball bats. Police in the area quickly apprehended the suspects, a 27 year old Southampton man and a 26 year old Sandy’s parish man. They were subsequently arrested, taken to the Hamilton Police Station and detained. The two victims, a 27 year old Sandy’s parish man and a 24 year old Smith’s parish man, were treated at KEMH for non-life threatening injuries. Investigations into this incident are ongoing.

Breaking & Entering

Around 9pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Coral Acres Drive, Southampton residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 9am and 4:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole a white 52” Calera all weather ceiling fan, a turquoise Makita circular electric saw and various food items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
