At 3:40 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Road and Overplus Lane in Sandy’s parish. It appears that an auxiliary cycle was traveling east on Middle Road when the rider, a 17 year old Sandy’s parish man, lost control and collided with a wall. As a result, the auxiliary cycle was extensively damaged. The victim was taken to KEMH for treatment of a fractured left leg and facial injuries (abrasions). Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Disturbance

At 9:40pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported disturbance at Clearwater Beach in St. George’s. After information received, officers continued on mobile patrol in the area and caused two vehicles believed to be connected to the disturbance to stop on Southside Road. Officers then spoke with the complainant who stated that while at Clearwater Beach, two of the passengers in his car were assaulted by the driver of the other car. The suspect then followed the complainant’s car as it left Clearwater Beach. However, there were no apparent injuries to any of the alleged victims. The suspect (and driver of the other vehicle), a 57 year old Sandy’s parish man, was subsequently arrested after Police searched his car and found a prohibited weapon (nunchakus). Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Breaking & Entering

At 10:40am on Tuesday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Rushy Lane, Sandy’s parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 2:30pm and 3:30pm on Sunday, July 3, 2005 an unknown culprit gained entry into his home. The culprit stole two digital cameras, several items of jewelry, $20 worth of coins and a Samsung cellular phone charger with a spare battery. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
