Breaking & Entering

At 5:35pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Middle Road, Devonshire residence. On arrival an officer spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 9am and 5:10pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her apartment. The culprit stole a PlayStation 2 game system, 35 PlayStation games and several items of jewelry. While at this location, another complainant approached the officer and stated that an unknown culprit had also gained entry into his apartment sometime during the day. The culprit stole $60 in cash. Inquiries into these incidents are underway.

At 9am on Wednesday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at the Bermuda Hotel Association on King Street in Pembroke. The complainant stated that sometime between Saturday, September 24 and 9am on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 an unknown culprit gained entry into a storeroom on the premises. The culprit stole a power washer. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Theft

Around 1:15pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported theft from Warwick Long Bay in Warwick. The complainant, who is a visitor to the island, stated that around 12:30pm she was on the beach when she decided to go for a walk, leaving her bag on the beach. When she returned to her bag a short time later, she discovered that an unknown culprit had removed a Blackberry cellular phone, a U.S. passport, $150 in cash, a digital camera, an Apple I-Pod and other personal items from her bag. However, a member of the public saw a man running away from the area. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'5" tall of slim build, clean shaven with short black hair. He was wearing a red shirt, black shorts and black sneakers and is believed to be 25 - 35 years old. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
