Assault

At 12:35 this morning, Police attended a reported assault at Henry VIII Restaurant & Bar on South Road in Southampton. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 24 year old man, who stated that while dancing at the establishment an argument took place between himself and the suspect. The suspect then punched the 24 year old in the face and left the scene on foot. The victim sustained a bloody nose as a result. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5' tall with sideburns on his face wearing a black or red jacket. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Robbery

Around 3:55pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a robbery at a Seagull Lane, Pembroke residence. The victim, a 48 year old Pembroke man stated that around 2:30pm he was invited to the residence by the suspect, who is known to the victim. A short time after entering the residence, the suspect and two other men (who were already inside the house) became aggressive, demanding money. The men took a bottle of Cockspur rum, tobacco and cigarette papers from the Pembroke man before he was allowed to leave the home. The victim had no apparent injuries. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend (from 7am Friday to 7am Monday) there were 8 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving (7 males and 1 female, ranging in age from 19 - 47 years old; 6 men failed, 1 man passed and 1 woman refused to take the alco-analyser test). There were also 15 incidents of breaking and entering, 16 damage only road traffic collisions and 13 road traffic collisions resulting in injury.
