Around 12:50 this morning, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with Abbott's Cliff Road involving two auxiliary cycles. It appears that one auxiliary cycle was traveling east on North Shore Road and the other was traveling in the opposite direction. As the vehicles approached the junction with Abbott's Cliff Road, the rider of the auxiliary cycle traveling west lost control attempting to negotiate a right hand bend, colliding with the auxiliary cycle traveling east. As a result, both cycles received front end damage. The rider of the cycle traveling east, a 17 year old St. George's boy, sustained a broken right wrist, minor head abrasions and a bruised right ankle; the rider of the cycle traveling west, a 17 year old Devonshire boy, sustained injuries to his right ankle and right shoulder. Both were taken to KEMH for treatment; however, their injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
