At 2:40 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on South Road in Devonshire, near the junction with Tee Street. It appears that the car (a Nissan Sentra) was traveling east on South Road when the driver lost control attempting to negotiate a right hand bend, colliding with the Demco Florist building on the opposite side of the road. The driver of the car, a 21 year old Devonshire man, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. He was taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained, after failing the alco-analyser test.
