Attempted Breaking & Entering

Around 3:20 this morning, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Sharon Lane, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that around 3:15am he awoke after hearing noises outside the back door. When he went to investigate, he discovered an unknown man attempting to gain entry into his home. The complainant told the man he was calling the Police and the suspect made good his escape on foot empty handed. Police searched the area and subsequently located the suspect, a 41 year old Devonshire man. He was then arrested, taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Breaking & Entering

At 5:30pm on Monday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at St. Patrick's Church Rectory in Smith's parish. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 11:30am and 3:45pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the office and stole $10 worth of coins. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
