Injury RTC

At 12:35am on Saturday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Harbour Road and Cobbs Hill Road in Warwick involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the car was traveling west on Harbour Road when the rider of the motorcycle which was traveling in the opposite direction lost control, causing a collision. The rider of the motorcycle, a 19 year old Pembroke man, was taken to KEMH for treatment of his injuries (broken hip and facial lacerations) which are not believed to be life threatening. He is currently on a general ward. The driver of the car, a 49 year old Warwick man, was not injured but was subsequently arrested for suspicion of impaired driving. He was taken to the Hamilton Police Station where he was detained after failing the alco-analyser test.

Breaking & Entering

At 12:55pm on Friday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Watlington Lane, Devonshire residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8:20am and 12 noon on Thursday, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole an unknown amount of cash, a duffel bag and several DVDs. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
