At 3:35 this morning, Police were on mobile patrol traveling east on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Radnor Road when they observed a white car traveling in the opposite direction at a high rate of speed. After passing the Police vehicle it appears the driver of the car lost control, causing the vehicle to cross the road and end up overboard. Officers turned around and went to the area of the collision to find the car mostly submerged, with the occupants shouting for help. Police and paramedics assisted the three men from the water. They were then taken to KEMH for treatment of their injuries. A 39 year old Pembroke man was treated for abrasions and released; while a 24 year old Devonshire man received lacerations to the head and a 23 year old Pembroke man received possible internal injuries. Both the 23 year old Pembroke man and the 24 year old Devonshire man are currently on a general ward at the hospital. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact PC Earl Caisey on 295-0011.
