Breaking & Entering

At 11:50am on Tuesday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association (BASA) pool at Saltus Grammar School on St. John's Road in Pembroke. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8:30pm on Monday and 10:30am on Tuesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the office on the premises. The culprit stole $400 in cash. The culprit also damaged a beverage vending machine in an attempt to access its contents, but was unsuccessful in doing so. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Witness Appeal

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to a disturbance that took place around 5:30pm Saturday, October 15, 2005 on Court Street near the junction with Angle Street in Pembroke. The victim, a 33 year old Paget man, was attacked with a machete and sustained serious lacerations to his hands, forearms and head. The suspect, a 37 year old Pembroke man, was arrested on Monday afternoon at a WB's Way, Hamilton parish residence and is assisting Police with their inquiries.
