Injury RTC/Impaired Driving

Around 11:05pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Happy Valley Road in Devonshire. It appears that an auxiliary cycle was traveling east on Happy Valley Road when the rider, a 32 year old Hamilton parish man, lost control negotiating a bend in the road and fell to the ground. The Hamilton parish man sustained cuts and abrasions to his face, hands and knees as a result. He was then taken to KEMH for treatment of his injuries, but refused medical assistance. The 32 year old was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained after failing the alco-analyser test.
