Around 2:50pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Paget near the junction with St. Paul's Lane, involving a car and an auxiliary cycle. It appears that the car was traveling west on South Road when the driver, a 30 year old Warwick woman, indicated to turn into the entrance of Harmony Club. At this time two auxiliary cycles traveling in the same direction behind the car attempted to overtake. One was successful overtaking on the outside; however, the other motorcycle attempted to overtake on the inside, striking the rear of the car and colliding with a wall. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 16 year old Warwick boy was not injured; however the passenger, also a 16 year old Warwick boy, sustained leg injuries. He was taken to KEMH for treatment and is currently in stable condition on a general ward. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The car and auxiliary cycle both received minor damage as a result. The rider of the auxiliary cycle was ticketed for driving without due care and attention. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
