At 4:15pm on Monday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Collectors Hill in Smith's parish near the junction with Hermitage Road involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling north on Collectors Hill when the pedestrian, a 9 year old Hamilton parish boy walking south on Collectors Hill, attempted to run across the road. The Hamilton parish boy was treated at the scene by EMTs and then taken to KEMH via ambulance for further treatment of internal injuries. He is currently in stable condition on a general ward while the rider of the motorcycle, a 33 year old Hamilton parish man, sustained cuts and abrasions to his hands. The motorcycle received minor front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact PC Evelyn on 295-0011.
