Burglary

At 2:05 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at a Parliament Street, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that around 1:50am she was watching TV in her living room when an unknown man entered her apartment. She screamed; the man picked up her handbag and made good his escape. The handbag contained personal items and a cellular phone. A short time later, a man was arrested in connection with this incident in the Court Street area; however, the handbag was not recovered. Inquiries are underway.
At 1:15pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Friswells Road, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 4pm on Wednesday and 9am on Thursday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home, which is under renovation. The culprit stole a white bathroom vanity cabinet. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
