Investigation Into Shooting At Swinging Doors Continues

The Bermuda Police Service is continuing their investigation into the shooting at Swinging Doors Night Club on Court Street in Pembroke that took place in the early hours of Monday, April 24, 2006. A 30 year old Pembroke man remains in Police custody, assisting Police with their inquiries. At this point there have been no new developments in the investigation; however, if there are any significant new developments the Police Media Relations Department will update the media accordingly.

Theft

Around 11:15am on Wednesday, Police attended a reported theft from a Bluck Point, Pembroke construction site. On arrival officers spoke with the site supervisor who stated that sometime between 6:30pm on Tuesday and 7am on Wednesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into a container on the premises. The culprit stole two Makita chipping tools and a Kango hammer. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 5:15pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a My Lord's Bay Lane, Hamilton parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7am and 5pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole U.S. $1,800 in cash and a black crash helmet. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
