Investigation Into Shooting At Swinging Doors Continues

The Bermuda Police Service is continuing its investigation into the shooting at Swinging Doors Nightclub on Court Street in Pembroke that took place in the early hours of Monday, April 24, 2006. As of 11am today, there are no new developments in the investigation. We however, are continuing our appeal for witnesses or anyone who may have any information to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 299-4315 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1-800-623-8477. If there are any significant new developments the Police Media Relations Department will contact the media by phone or press release.

Burglary

Around 10am on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at the National Trust property on The Lane in Paget. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 9:40pm on Saturday and 8:10am on Monday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises. The culprit stole $225 worth of coins. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
