Injury RTC

At 6:30pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Deepdale Road West in Pembroke. It appears that a jeep was traveling north on Deepdale Road West. The victim, an 8 year old Pembroke boy, was sitting on a wall on Deepdale Road West when he apparently fell off the wall into the road and the path of the jeep. The Pembroke boy was taken to KEMH for treatment of a broken right leg and wrist. The driver of the jeep, a 44 year old Pembroke woman, was not injured and the vehicle was impounded. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact PC David Ward on 295-0011.

Burglary

At 4:20pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club in Paget. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7pm on Wednesday and 10am on Thursday, an unknown culprit gained entry into a storage shed on the property. The culprit stole 8 VHF radios and a camcorder. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
