Theft

At 1:40 this morning, Police attended a report of a theft at Bernard's Park in Pembroke. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who rented out several tents for use during the Bermuda Day festivities. He stated that around 11:30pm on Wednesday his employees were at the park disassembling the tents, when they discovered one tent missing. The tent is described as a 12' by 20' white custom made heavy duty tent. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Activity

Over the last 48 hours (which includes the Bermuda Day holiday) there were 2 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving (both men, both failed the alco-analyser test) and 11 burglaries (2 in St. George's, 2 in Smith's parish, 1 in Devonshire, 3 in Pembroke, 1 in Paget, 1 in Southampton and 1 in Sandy's parish). There were also 13 damage only road traffic collisions (4 yesterday), 8 road traffic collisions resulting in injury (4 yesterday) and 4 reports of loud music.

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their co-operation over the holiday period resulting in a relatively quiet Bermuda Day, with no major incidents reported to Police.
