Burglary

Around 6:20 this morning, Police received a report of a burglary at Bo's Lawn Equipment on Middle Road in Warwick. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between Saturday May 20 and earlier on Monday, May 22 an unknown culprit gained entry into the store. The culprit stole approximately $100 in cash and around 40 - 60 cartons of Marlboro Light cigarettes. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 12:45pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Bellevue Drive, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between Friday, May 12 and earlier on Sunday, May 21 an unknown culprit gained entry into his pool house. The culprit stole a 20" flat screen Panasonic TV. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

The Bermuda Police Service is continuing to remind residents to secure their homes when leaving them unattended, particularly in the Knapton Hill, Smith's parish area and in Paget. We are also advising members of the public not to purchase electronic items from individuals who cannot verify where the item came from, as many DVD players and laptop computers have been reported stolen recently.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 4 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 15 burglaries. There were also 19 damage only road traffic collisions and 9 road traffic collisions resulting in injury.
