Robbery

At 5:10 this morning, Police received a report of a robbery. The victim, a 46 year old taxi driver from Pembroke, picked up two men on One Way Deep Dale in Pembroke and drove them to the Ice Queen in Paget. At Ice Queen a third man got into the taxi. The taxi driver then drove the three men to Hermitage Road in Devonshire, where he was instructed to stop. The taxi driver and the suspects had a disagreement about continuing the journey, with two of the men getting out of the taxi. One attempted to take the keys out of the vehicle's ignition but was stopped by the driver. Two of the suspects then proceeded to choke the taxi driver, with one punching him in the mouth. One of the suspects also removed a brown wallet containing $200 in cash and personal items. The suspects then made good their escape on foot along Hermitage Road. The suspects are described as a medium brown skinned male of slim build with a shaved head wearing a black & grey top; and a light skinned male, approximately 5'8" tall of slim build with a close haircut wearing a grey jacket with a hood. The third suspect is known to the victim. All suspects are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Burglary
At 6:20pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Mission Heights, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 7:45am and 4:45pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home. The culprit stole a cable box, a Sony Cybershot digital camera, $8 in cash and food items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
At 3:55pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a White Sands Road, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 12 noon and 2:20pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home. The culprit stole a Dell laptop computer, an X-Box game console, a Sony video camera and $1,300 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
