Injury RTC

At 11:45pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Verdmont Road in Smith's parish involving a jeep and a motorcycle. It appears that the jeep was traveling east on Verdmont Road and the motorcycle was traveling in the opposite direction when they collided near the junction with St. Mark's Road. The rider of the motorcycle, a 58 year old Smith's parish man, sustained broken ribs, cuts and abrasions and was taken to KEMH for treatment. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The driver of the jeep, a 58 year old Hamilton parish woman, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

At 7:25pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Sousa Estate Road, Devonshire residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7:30am and 6:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole several items of jewelry, a Sony 13" flat screen TV, a bronze Minolta digital camera, a grey Sony video camera and a black Sony CD player. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Arrest

Around 10:45pm on Wednesday, Police arrested a 56 year old Pembroke man in the Par-La-Ville Road area of the City of Hamilton on suspicion of theft. He was found with several tools in his possession at the time of his arrest, including a Makita reciprocating saw, a Makita drill, a Milwaukee heat gun, a variety of pliers and wall receptacles and three halogen light bulbs. Anyone with any information about these items is asked to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Missing Juvenile - Found

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 13 year old Lashunde Edwards. She was located at 11:45am on Wednesday safe and well and reunited with her family.
