Burglary

At 3 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at a Verdmont Valley View, Smith's parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 12:45am and 3am today, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole a black handbag containing a silver Motorola cellular phone, $20 in cash and personal items. A suspect was seen fleeing the area; he is described as a dark skinned male, approximately 5'9" tall of slim build wearing black shorts and a black jacket with the hood pulled over his head. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Missing Juveniles

The Bermuda Police Service is asking for the public's assistance in locating 13 year old Lashunde Edwards of Sandy's parish. She is described as light brown skinned, approximately 5' tall of slim build and is a Sandy's Middle School student. She often wears her hair in a ponytail and has a distinctive black birthmark on her left arm. Police are appealing for anyone with information on the whereabouts of 13 year old Lashunde Edwards to contact the Juvenile & Domestic Crime Unit on 299-4477.

The Bermuda Police Service is also asking for the public's assistance in locating 14 year old Tahirah Cross of Warwick. She was last seen at 11pm on Monday, June 26, 2006 at her grandmother's residence in Sandy's parish. Tahirah Cross is dark brown skinned, 5'4" tall, weighing approximately 130lbs. She was last seen wearing blue jean Capri pants, a short sleeve pink shirt with stripes and her hair was in a bun. Police are appealing for anyone with information on the whereabouts of 14 year old Tahirah Cross to contact the Juvenile & Domestic Crime Unit on 299-4477.
