Assault

Around 7:15pm on Monday, Police received a report of an assault on Point Shares Road in Pembroke. It appears that an altercation took place at that location involving several individuals. As a result, three of the individuals involved were injured and attended KEMH for treatment. An 18 year old Paget man sustained a wound to his left arm, head and abrasions to his right hand, neck and chin. A 20 year old Paget man and an 18 year old Devonshire man sustained wounds to their fingers. The men's injuries are not believed to be life threatening. A 20 year old Pembroke man and a 19 year old Pembroke man were subsequently arrested in connection with this matter. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Burglary

Around 2:10pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at an AP Owen Road, Smith's parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 9am on Friday, June 2 and 2pm on Saturday, June 3, 2006 an unknown culprit gained entry into his home. The culprit stole U.S. $945 in cash and $45 in Canadian currency. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
