At 7:10pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with East Point Lane involving a jeep and a motorcycle. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling west on North Shore Road overtaking a line of traffic when the rider, a 36 year old Southampton man, attempted to maneuver back into the westbound lane, lost control and collided with a jeep traveling in the opposite direction. The Southampton man sustained abrasions to his left arm, hip, thigh and minor cuts to fingers on his left hand. The driver of the jeep, a 46 year old Sandy's parish man and his passenger, a 43 year old Sandy's parish woman, were not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged as a result and the jeep received damage to its front right tire. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 7:40am on Saturday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Pitts Bay Road in Pembroke near the junction with Fairyland Road and Serpentine Road involving a taxi and a motorcycle. It appears that the taxi was traveling north on Serpentine Road. On reaching the junction with Pitts Bay Road, the taxi attempted to proceed on to Fairyland Road. The motorcycle was traveling west on Pitts Bay Road when it overtook several vehicles and collided with the taxi at the junction. The rider of the motorcycle, a 22 year old Pembroke man, was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of facial injuries. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening; however, he was initially admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. The driver of the taxi, a 72 year old man, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
