Injury RTC

Around 9:50pm on Monday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Mangrove Bay Road in Sandy's parish near the junction with Mangrove Lane, involving two motorcycles. It appears that a Yamaha motorcycle was traveling east on Mangrove Bay Road and a Peugeot motorcycle was traveling in the opposite direction when they collided. The rider of the Yamaha, a 25 year old Southampton man and the rider of the Peugeot, a 37 year old Sandy's parish man, sustained facial injuries. The Southampton man declined medical attention for his injuries and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained. The Sandy's parish man was treated at KEMH for his injuries and released.

Burglary

At 6pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Wilkinson Avenue, Hamilton parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 12 noon on Saturday and 5:30pm on Monday, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while she was away from the premises. The culprit stole U.S. $300 in cash and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Theft

Around 3:40pm on Monday, Police received a report of a theft from Ocean View Golf Course. The manager stated that sometime between 12:30am on Saturday and 6am on Monday, an unknown culprit or culprits stole a white golf cart. The golf cart has since been seen by a member of the public in the Hermitage Road, Devonshire area. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
