Theft

Around 10:40am on Monday, Police received a report of a theft from an unattended vehicle. The complainant stated that sometime between 1am and 10am that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his car while it was parked outside his Robin Hood Drive, Pembroke residence. The culprit stole approximately $500 worth of coins. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Advisory - Counterfeit Currency

The Bermuda Police Service is continuing to receive reports of individuals attempting to pass counterfeit Bermuda and U.S. currency at various locations around the island. We are asking individuals and businesses, particularly retail staff, to remain vigilant for individuals who attempt to purchase items worth $20 or less with a $50 or $100 bill; or any individual who attempts to change a $50 or $100 bill without purchasing any merchandise. Media Note

The Bermuda Police Service will make a presentation to the winning student of the 'Schools Naming Competition for the New Police Boat' at 8:15am on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at BHS in the Victoria Room. All media are invited to attend and asked to be there by 8am. At the presentation the winning student will receive an award and prizes, and the name of the new Police vessel will be revealed.
