At 3:20pm on Friday, Police attended a road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Paget near its junction with Garden Lane, involving a van and two motorcycles. It appears that both motorcycles were traveling west on South Road and the van was traveling in the opposite direction when one of the motorcyclists attempted to overtake, but in doing so made contact with the other motorcyclist and then lost control, colliding with the van. The riders of the motorcycles, a 29 year old Warwick man and a 23 year old Warwick man were taken to KEMH for treatment of their injuries. The 29 year old man sustained a broken right leg and lacerations to his body, while the 23 year old man sustained lacerations to his right arm and leg. The driver of the van, a 41 year old Hamilton parish man, was not injured. One of the motorcycles was extensively damaged, while the other received minor damage. The van received extensive damage to its front right side. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
