Burglary

At 8:25pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Berkeley Mews, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between Sunday, October 22 and 9pm on Wednesday, October 25 an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while he was overseas. The culprit stole approximately $20 worth of coins. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 4:55pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Meadow Lane, Devonshire residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7am and 4:05pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole several food items, an unknown amount of coins and a black Motorola cellular phone. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Media Note

The Bermuda Police Service will hold a press conference regarding Halloween at 11am on Monday, October 30 in the Police Media Relations Office at Police Headquarters in Prospect, Devonshire. All media are invited to attend.

Meanwhile, Police continue to encourage shopkeepers to be especially vigilant about whom they sell eggs to, and to be wary of individuals attempting to purchase large quantities of eggs, as we are still receiving reports of eggs being thrown at passing vehicles.
