It appears that the victim, an 85 year old Southampton woman (a double amputee) was assaulted by a 26 year old Pembroke woman inside the home. The Pembroke woman allegedly punched the victim in the head following an argument. The suspect was then arrested, taken to Somerset Police Station and detained. She was subsequently bailed. The victim suffered only minor injury (facial swelling). Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Halloween Advisory

Halloween is almost upon us, and the Bermuda Police Service would like to remind the public that officers will be deployed before Halloween and during Halloween night to ensure that the occasion is enjoyed by all. As Halloween approaches we would also like to advise shopkeepers to be especially vigilant about whom they sell eggs to, and to be wary of individuals attempting to purchase large quantities of eggs. Let's all work together to make this Halloween a safe and uneventful one.
