At 4:30pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of South Road and Brighton Hill Road in Devonshire, involving an auxiliary cycle and a car. It appears that the car was exiting Ariel Sands heading east on South Road when the collision occurred with the auxiliary cycle, which was traveling in the opposite direction. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 16 year old young man from Smith's parish sustained head injuries and lacerations to both arms; however, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment and is currently in stable condition on a general ward. The driver of the car, a 30 year old Hamilton parish woman, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Assault/Robbery

At 9:30am on Tuesday, Police received a report of an assault/robbery. The victim, a 70 year old St. George's man, stated that around 9:30pm on Monday he attended the St. George's Cricket Club to socialize. He left sometime later and as he walked to his car in the parking lot, he was attacked from behind by an unknown suspect who hit the 70 year old in the back of the head, knocking him to the ground. The suspect then took $400 in cash from the victim and made good his escape. The St. George's man was treated at KEMH for lacerations to the back of his head and released. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the St. George's Criminal Investigation Unit on 297-1122.

Missing Juvenile - Found

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 9 year old Maleke Martin. He returned to his Sandy's parish home of his own accord safe & well around 11:35pm last night.

Burglary

At 5:30pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Spring Hill, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8:30am and 5pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while he was away from the premises. The culprit stole a portable Phillips CD player and $200 worth of coins. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
