Disturbance

Wed, 2006-10-11

At 3:20 this morning, Police attended a reported disturbance outside of the Emporium building on Front Street in the City of Hamilton. On arrival officers noticed a small crowd gathered around a man who was lying on the ground. It appears that the victim was set upon by at least two other people outside the establishment. The unknown suspects assaulted the victim and took his gold chain before making good their escape. Preliminary information suggests that this attack was unprovoked and that a woman who came to the victim's aid was punched in the nose. The victim was taken to KEMH via ambulance and treated for scratches to his head, neck and throat. The chain is described as white gold with a pendant in the shape of a crucifix with an image of Jesus on it. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

At 7:40 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at a North Street, Pembroke construction site. The culprit stole a Kodak digital camera, a Porter Cable digital laser serial #RT-7600-5, a Makita skill saw, a 2' level, a trowel brush and a black hammer.
