Around 4:30pm on Monday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Harbour Road and Valley Road in Paget involving a motorcycle, a car and a truck. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling west on Harbour Road and the car was traveling north on Valley Road. As the car exited Valley Road on to Harbour Road, it collided with the motorcycle; the collision then caused the motorcycle to cross into the eastbound lane, where it collided with the truck. The rider of the motorcycle, a 27 year old Southampton woman, was injured; but it appears she did not attend the hospital. The driver of the car, a 49 year old Warwick man and the driver of the truck, a 21 year old Hamilton parish man, were not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service Driver Training Unit will be conducting a Standard Motorcycle Course between Monday, November 6 & Friday, November 24, 2006. We would like the motoring public to be mindful that the two officers on the course and their instructor will at times be traveling at high speeds on our roads; however, the reflective vests they will be wearing will make them highly visible to other road users. We would like to thank the motoring public for their co-operation during this training period.
