Around 3:50am on Saturday, Police were on mobile patrol on Bermudiana Road in the City of Hamilton when they were stopped by members of the public who reported an assault had taken place and alerted officers to a man lying outside Splash nightclub. On arrival at the scene it appeared that the victim, a 26 year old Smith’s parish man, had been involved in a physical altercation. He was unconscious but soon regained consciousness and was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of a suspected head injury. He was subsequently released. Officers located the suspect, who was at the time across the street involved in a scuffle with another man. As a result the suspect, a 32 year old St. George’s man and the other individual, a 27 year old Paget man, were arrested on suspicion of affray and taken to the Hamilton Police Station. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
