Robbery - Around 12:45am today, Police received a report of a robbery on Pitts Bay Road in Pembroke. It appears that the victim, a 31 year old Warwick man, was walking along Pitts Bay Road when he was approached by three unknown men who demanded money. The Warwick man pulled out his wallet and one of the men removed a quantity of cash from it. All three suspects then made good their escape on foot towards the Fairmont Hamilton Princess hotel. The victim was not injured. Police arrived on the scene a short time later and a search of the immediate area resulted in the arrest of an 18 year old Warwick man in connection with this matter. Inquiries into the incident are underway.

Disturbance

At 4:30am on Sunday, Police attended a reported disturbance at Ice Queen in Paget. On arrival officers observed several men involved in a physical altercation (fist fight). Initial attempts to control the situation were unsuccessful; which resulted in the use of a deterrent spray to subdue the combatants. Three men, a 28 year old Warwick man, a 25 year old Sandy’s parish man and a 20 year old Sandy’s parish man were subsequently arrested in connection with this incident. Injuries sustained by those involved were relatively minor. Inquiries are ongoing.

Injury RTC/Impaired Driving

At 6pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Crow Lane in Paget near the North Round-a-bout. It appears that a car was traveling west on Berry Hill Road when it mounted the sidewalk at the junction with Crow Lane, then mounted the traffic divider at the bottom of Trimingham Hill before colliding with a wall. The driver, a 19 year old Southampton man was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of minor injuries and released. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and detained after failing the alco-analyser test. The car received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Damage Only RTC

Around 3:15am on Sunday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Tribe Road #3. It appears that a car was traveling east on Middle Road when the driver, an 18 year old Hamilton parish man, lost control and collided with a wall. As a result the car ended up across both lanes of the road. The Hamilton parish man was uninjured; however, the car was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
