Shooting on St. Monica’s Road

The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that reports were received of gunshots fired in the St. Monica’s Road, Pembroke area around 2:45pm this afternoon. Police responded with members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Serious Crime Unit (SCU), cordoning off the scene.

It appears that two men both believed to be in their 20s were injured as a result and they are currently at KEMH receiving treatment. Following the initial incident there were also reports of gunshots fired in the Middletown, Pembroke area; however there were no reported injuries. An active investigation into these incidents is underway.
