Update – Fatal RTC - The Bermuda Police Service is continuing the investigation into the death of 79 year old Ivor Reid, who was involved in a collision on Mullet Bay Road in St. George’s around 5:15pm Friday. At this time the cause of Mr. Reid’s death remains undetermined; therefore his status as Bermuda’s sixth road traffic fatality is under review.

Person of Interest 

The Bermuda Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 42 year old Winslow ‘Scaley’ Williams (pictured right) as he is a person of interest in an ongoing investigation. He is described as 6’1” - 6’2” tall, light brown skinned and of slim build. Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Winslow ‘Scaley’ Williams is encouraged to contact Sgt. Jason Smith at the St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 278-5105.

Robbery

Around 5pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a robbery. It appears that the victim, a 67 year old Warwick man (taxi driver) was at the Waterlot Inn parking lot waiting for a fare when he was approached by an unknown man who demanded money. The taxi driver told the suspect he didn’t have any. The suspect then brandished a bladed article and demanded the taxi driver’s cellular phone. The offender then made good his escape with the phone running west along Middle Road, Southampton. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described as a brown skinned male, approximately 5’9” tall wearing a brown & yellow hooded jacket and blue jeans. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 3 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 5 reported burglaries. There were also 12 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 13 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 2 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
