Injury RTC

At 10:55am on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Palmetto Road and Parsons Lane in Devonshire involving two trucks. It appears that both trucks were traveling east on Palmetto Road when the first truck indicated its intention to turn on to Parsons Lane and stopped. The second truck was unable to stop in time and collided with the rear of the first truck. The driver of the first truck, a 54 year old Devonshire man, sustained neck and back injuries; he was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the second truck, a 56 year old Pembroke man, was not injured. The first truck received minor rear end damage while second truck received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 3:30pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Kitty’s Drive, Hamilton parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 8:45am and 3pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. However, it appears that nothing was taken. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 3pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Kilderry Drive, Smith’s parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 11:30am and 2:55pm that day, an unknown culprit or culprits gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Sony PlayStation video game system, a Nintendo Wii video game system, a laptop computer and an I-Pod. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 1:20pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Third Avenue, Pembroke residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 10:30am and 1pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
