Around 6:40pm on Friday, Police attended a reported fire at a Friswells Road, Devonshire residence. On arrival officers observed the Bermuda Fire Service at the scene extinguishing the fire. Actual damage was confined to one room while there was smoke damage to the rest of the apartment; however there were no reported injuries. There does not appear to be any suspicious circumstance. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Burglary
Around 11:25pm on Friday, Police received a report of a burglary at a South Road, Paget residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7pm and 10:50pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
