Robbery

Around 7:30pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a robbery on St. John’s Road in Pembroke. It appears that the victim, a 19 year old Pembroke man, was riding an auxiliary cycle west on St. John’s Road when he was approached by an unknown man on a motorcycle who rode up alongside him. The suspect demanded money from the Pembroke man and managed to bring the victim’s cycle to a stop. The suspect then brandished a bladed article and removed a black wallet, a gold chain and two gold rings from the 19 year old Pembroke man before making good his escape. The victim was not injured. The suspect was described as a yellow skinned male with facial hair of muscular build believed to be in his 30s; he was wearing a grey hooded top, dark coloured jeans and a black helmet with a mirrored visor. The suspect was also riding an old rusty dark coloured motorcycle. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Burglary

Around 7:55am on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at East End Primary School in St. George’s. The complainant stated that sometime between 5pm on Tuesday and 7:40am on Wednesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the school. It is unclear at this time what if anything, was taken. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 7:25am on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at the Royal Artillery Association (RAA) Club in St. George’s. The complainant stated that sometime between 10:30pm on Tuesday and 7:10am on Wednesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises. It does not appear that anything was taken. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
