Robbery - At 8:30pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported robbery in the City Hall car park in the City of Hamilton. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 23 year old Hamilton parish man, who stated that an unknown man approached him and brandished a weapon before taking the Hamilton parish man’s wallet and BlackBerry cellular phone. The offender then made good his escape on foot headed towards Cedar Avenue. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’ tall wearing a dark coloured hooded top and dark coloured ‘track’ pants. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

At 8:20pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported robbery on Happy Valley Road in Pembroke near the junction with King Street. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 26 year old Pembroke woman, who stated that around 8:05pm that day she was walking along Happy Valley Road when an unknown man approached her from behind. The suspect grabbed the Pembroke woman’s handbag and a struggle ensued. However, the offender managed to make good his escape on foot with the handbag on to King Street. The victim was not injured. The gold coloured handbag contained a small quantity of cash and personal items. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a baseball cap, dark coloured hooded top and dark coloured long pants. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
