The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for any witnesses to the fatal road traffic collision which occurred around 12:50am Tuesday on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Longford Road, which claimed the life of 29 year old Kevin Mooney (the son of former Chief Inspector Charles Mooney). Anyone with any information about this collision or who may have seen the victim prior to it is encouraged to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.

The Ministry of Works and Engineering wishes to inform motorists that effective 19th January, 2009, all heavy vehicles greater than 76 inches or 6’-4” wide are prohibited from using North Shore Road between the junctions of Middle Road and North Shore Road [at Palmetto Gardens] and Store Hill Road and North Shore Road.
Due to the narrow road width and the frequency of accidents along this section of North Shore Road, including Flatts Village , the Ministry is required to prohibit heavy traffic.
The vehicle restriction applies to heavy trucks with plate numbers beginning with TT, HC and HB. This restriction does notemergency vehicle. affect public buses, garbage trucks or any other
