Burglary

Around 8:10pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Two Way Mews, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7:45am and 6:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 12:15pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at an Inghams Drive, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8:15am and 11:15am that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Sanyo DVD player and a Sony DVD player. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

The Bermuda Police Service is aware of counterfeit U.S. $100 notes in circulation bearing the serial number DE 52447265 A. These notes have been passed at various business around the island. We are advising store clerks and cashiers to be vigilant for counterfeit currency by checking for security features such as a watermark, colour shifting ink and a security thread.
