The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for a member of the public who came to the assistance of an officer during the arrest of a 28 year old Southampton man around 1:30pm today on South Road in Paget near the junction with Cobbs Hill Road. The Southampton man was arrested for obstruction and was initially stopped by Police on mobile patrol for traffic offences. He was subsequently taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained. We would like to commend the individual who came to the officer's assistance and encourage him to contact Inspector Christopher Clarke on 515-9101 or 799-5260.

Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service would like parents to be aware of reports of students congregating in and around the Cedar Avenue, Pembroke area after school in order for fights between individual students or groups of students to take place. Police are already working with school officials to address the problem; however, we encourage parents to make sure your young people are where they are supposed to be once school finishes for the day and not involved in such detrimental activities.
