Assault

At 1:15 this morning, Police attended a reported assault at the junction of Tribe Road #5 and Ord Road in Paget. On arrival officers observed one of the victims, a 40 year old Hamilton parish man, in a car at the junction. He stated that earlier he drove to the junction when three cars arrived and surrounded his vehicle. A group of men then got out of the three vehicles and began to attack the Hamilton parish man, while also striking the car with baseball bats and machetes. The 40 year old man sustained lacerations to his right arm and right leg. The suspects then made good their escape. The victim and another individual believed to be in the car at the time of the attack, a 44 year old Hamilton parish man, were taken to KEMH for treatment of their injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 4 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 5 reported burglaries (2 in St. George's, 2 in Pembroke and 1 in Warwick). There were also 20 reported damage only road traffic collisions and 7 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury.
