Firearm Incident

(Today is the second consecutive day on which we have received reports of a firearm being used in the Southampton area).

The latest incidents are as follows: Around 9pm today, Police received a report of a shooting in the Camp Hill, Southampton area. Details are unclear at the moment, however a 30 year old Southampton man was fatally shot, while a 25 year old Warwick man was shot in the lower extremities and is presently receiving treatment at KEMH for his injury.

A team of 25 officers from the Serious & Organized Crime Unit, the Intelligence Unit and the Forensic Support Unit are conducting inquiries into this incident. Police are also actively patrolling various areas around the island and we are once again appealing for individuals from the community to assist us in our investigation.
