Burglary

At 10:50pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Trelawney Lane, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 4:45pm and 9:25pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. However, nothing was reported stolen. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 5:50pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Berkeley Mews, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 6:45am and 4:45pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a small quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 1:45pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Cedar Avenue, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 6:30am and 8:45pm on Tuesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his apartment while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

The Bermuda Police Service has noticed a recent increase in the amount of burglaries in the City of Hamilton area. Over the past 24 hours there were 13 reported burglaries, most of them occurring in the Pembroke/City of Hamilton area. Police are reminding residents and businesses alike to secure their premises and to be vigilant for any suspicious individuals hanging around their property. Any suspicious individuals or activity should be reported to Police on 295-0011.
